I weave lots of rag rugs.  Lately I have been getting a smiling fell on some of them.  I need some ideas on how to avoid it. Thanks  Ann

These problems are normally caused by tension issues. So check how the warp is on the wap beam, are the edges of the warp biting into your packing material on the edges.

If memory serves a smiling fell means that your tension is tighter on the outside warp ends, than on the inside warps and would be indicating that the warp is cutting into your packing material and tightening down on the warp beam.
