Only about three weeks remain until Halloween Halloweave!  What will you be creating from your cloth?  Let us know if we can help in anyway!

I am now weaving a herringbone fabtic, which I will make into a Viking Hood. As I was typing this it struck me that it would be nice to make our son TJ a matching hood! I know it's not as fancy as what many folks are likely planning, but I hope it will be the start of a long and lovelt road!

Hi Daryl

Learned about this thread while reading thru another subject on this site.  I am not sure just what to weave structure wise for a good cloth.  Certainly something other than just plain weave.  What  do you suggest?  I am an intemediate weaver.  I have a rigid heddle loom and an old floor loom under restoration.  Have just got done making a series of things on the rigid heddle but really want to use the floor loom more for fabric.  Did some sewing when I was 16.  Am 58 now and clothes for my taste are very hard to come by and getting harder!!

It is now time to get making.  But...what kind of cloth to make?

How did the hood go?  Do you have pictures?  I am just getting back to this site after moving my husband and I moved to a newly purchased home here in CT.  My floor loom is now on it's side, in a room full of boxes of fiber, yarn sewing, knitting, spinning materials.  That will be the last room I get to as I have to cook at some point.

What would be a good first fabric to make clothes out of.  Am really ready to jump into bulk fabric making for my own clothes.

Want to get Daryl's videos and start doing something soom.
