It's here, the last week of October. All my little arachnids have been super busy. Let's make a big push to the end. Remember to post your projects and tag them Halloweave 2015 and also go out and cast votes for your favorite projects. Weave on my pretties, weave on!

Wow, tge last week is energizing, but a bit sad! I hope we'll all keep checking in in Daily Weaverliness, but I've met several new folks through active arachnids and Halloweave has been very special this year! I look forward to seeing what you all finish!!!

about 20 minutes of my lunch hour winding quills at the LYS. I should have enough to last a couple of evenings, depending on how much I actually weave! Look out towel warp here I come.

8:21 pm CDT - Managed to get about 10 inches woven. Finished one towel and started another. These are simple plain weave and / or twill dish towels out of 16/2 cotton. The warp is natural as is the weft except for some various stripes. On the plain weave towels I am doing the stripes in some Acadian-like patterns.

I only got about 5 inches woven on my towels today.  Progress, but not nearly enough.  I'm grateful for the Halloweave challenge, though, that gets me to the loom for even a short time.

I had a busy day. I did manage to sit down for 20 minutes and get a several inches woven.

this afternoon, so I unexpectedly got to spend a good hour and a half at the loom.  What a nice treat!

three inches done on towel #2. Doesn't sound like much but since this warp has been sitting on the loom since last spring I am happy to see any progress at all!

But I spent enough time at the loom to finish towel #2.

towel #2. Will need to go back out to the LYS tomorrow to wind some more quills. My quill winder is still MIA - I did a great job of putting it out of the way. . . . . Yell

I finished the iPad case weaving. The cloth has been washed. Need to dry and press it now.

last night saw me get within 2 inches of finsihging towel #1 - unfortunately I ran out of wound quills about then. Will finish it up this evening and get started on towel # 3.

last day - were did the month go. I made it to the LYS and wound enough quills to get at least a couple more towels done. I want to invote all of you who are not currently a member of Daily Weaverliness to join us over there once Halloweave is finished. Remember to post your projects and vote for your Halloweave favorites.

Added at 5 pm CDT - Finished towel 2 and started on towel #3.

I haven't gotten much done over the last few days.  My grandchildren stayed over one night which meant an inflatable mattress blocking access to the loom.  I spent a little time each day designing a baby blanket for a neice who just announced that she's expecting, so I did get some weaving activity in.  Today I sat at the loom for a total of about 20 minutes.  It's hard to believe the month is over!

iPad case cloth

well I had so much fun participating in Halloweave. I got several projects on and off the floor room: giant tote bag, scarf for sister, and iPad /keyboard carry case. Over in the tapestry group I actually did a tapestry that wasn't a sampler and used my own design. That was so much fun!

And in Thor's house of clever people I made myself a tiny sampler loom and two different sized Tenerife lace looms. I even used my husbands lathe and turned a tiny bobbin to use with the lace looms. Unfortunately it is turning out to be awesomely cute and tiny, but maybe too mini. But now I know I can make them! I'm going to the store to get some walnut dowels soon to make more. And I've started the plans and marked up some boards to make a reed and lease stick holder for when I'm sleeping my reed. I'm so excited about that!

Here is a photo of the cloth for my iPad case. In Thor's house you can see photos of my lace looms.

happy Halloween everyone! And I want to join the Daily Weaverliness group! So I will see you there
