About me
I own two Macomber looms, a small portable 20 inch loom that I will probably sell, and a 40 inch 8 harness that I truly love! I am having so much fun weaving on it!
I have a an old (1960's maybe?) 20 inch norwood cherry loom that was my Grandmothers. It is a lovely piece of furniture..and very heavy. It's only 4 harnesses. I would do a search on google for used looms. There is a very active guild in the Pacific Northwest that often has looms, ebay has used looms, craig's list has used looms....and a good used loom is definately the way to go! I think I'm going to sell my maccomber portable loom which is 8 harness....I'll list it on weavolution if I decide to. I have to keep my grandma's norwood.
what brand of bamboo? What sett?...I can't imagine finishing a 30 yard warp....right now I'm planning a shawl...4 yard warp..it's all I'm capable of warping correctly...LOL
