About me

I am a lifelong fiber enthusiast, starting with sewing at about age 5. My mother, Jenny Bellairs, has always encouraged me to learn to make anything that I wanted, and that was the attitude I grew up with. Want that? You can make that!
I took up knitting and crochet in the winter of 1998, got moving on my longtime interest in Historical Costuming in 2008, picked up embroidery shortly after that, and finally learned drop spinning and got decently involved in tablet weaving this summer after my mother found me a Leclerc inkle floor loom at an estate sale.

My focus right now is costuming and domestic arts for the Viking Age, so most of my projects will center around that. I participate in a medieval-style combat game called Dagorhir, which is where my family and I use much of what I make. I'm starting to branch out more into Living History as I learn more, though.
