- About me
I've been weaving for about 11 years, and have been selling some of my things through the Southwest Women's Fiber Arts Collective (www.fiberartscollective.org). I learned to dye yarns a few years ago and dye some of my warps and wefts.
I belong to a local fiber arts Guild also, and a smaller group who call ourselves "Weaver's Tea" as we usually have tea when we get together to do show and tell, solve problems, and plan weaving exchanges.
Our most recent exchange had 7 of us using the same four colors of 10/2 perl cotton making 17"x17" hemmed napkins. Other than using the same yarns and all four colors we could do pretty much any structure/pattern we wanted. They came out wonderfully; none similar but all go together because of the colors. We all tried to do something that was a challenge to our weaving abilities as well. Mine was using 10 treadles and doing a longer warp than I usually do.
