I'm involved in many of the textile arts. Weaving and needlework are my two main passions. However, I also enjoy kumihimo braiding, sewing, machine embroidery, and fine furniture woodworking (wood is just a sturdier fiber). Basically if it involves yarn or power tools, I am probably doing it. Bonus points if it involves yarn *and* power tools.
I do have to limit my textile crafts, unfortunately. There is not enough time for me to fully explore spinning, dyeing, crochet, knitting, polymer clay, printing, paper-making/paper crafts, basket-making, or beading. But I drool nicely over other's work.
Sometimes it seems like my greatest hobby is collecting fiber stuff. Yarn, tools, fabric, thread, patterns. I'm starting a major purge of my stuff so that I gain enough room to really work in my studio.
