- About me
Let's see...a little about me. I retired in 2006 due to a minor stroke. When my son-in-law proposed to my daughter, he also bought a house with room for me. I live in North Richland Hills, TX, about 30 minutes from Dallas. I have to say, I love it here! I lived in Ohio before moving here and I can tell you with total honesty that I DO NOT miss the winters in Ohio!
Anyway, I live here with my daughter, my son-in-law, my son and my beautiful granddaughter. The crafts that I do are quilting, needlepoint, embroidery, crocheting, sewing and OOAK (one of a kind dolls). I have also just taught myself to knit.
I have always had an interest in weaving, but have never had the time to try it out. I have looked at so many ways of weaving, my head almost can't take it all in. Once I get the several projects done that I'm working on simultaneously, I'll start with either backstrap or frame weaving, I think, but this is subject to change.
My current projects are: a huge afghan for my son that has Super Mario cross stitched on it. The second is just whenever I have a chance, I am making small granny squares that will be turned in to afghans for cancer patients. I have also been gearing up to start sewing again. Almost done setting my room up with a small area for all my crafts.
