- About me
I started in the fiber arts at the tender age of 5. My grandmother taught me how to knit and embroider. Then I moved on to crochet and sewing. Throughout my life it has always been my solace to fall back on my handcrafts. A few years ago I started spinning my own yarn. What an eye opener. I now spin, dye, blend and card my own wool. I collect fibers of all kinds from wherever they might hide.
Last year I got my first loom, a rigid heddle which allowed me to start playing with another aspect of fiber. I particularly like weaving my own yarns for scarves.
I now am spinning designer yarns and starting to weave in the Saori style. I like the freedom it gives me and it allows me to tell stories with my fiber. I am looking forward to doing more with this.
