Weaving Since: Started as a child, but recently picked it back up a few years ago.
Kinds of weaving: Started with finger weaving, now practicing solo on backstrap looms, navajo looms, and general knitting.
Pets? Kids?: I have a boarder collie/fox terrier mix, and a dark callico cat.. No kids yet.
Favorite Color: Dark colors and especially earth tones!!
Favorite Fiber: Cotton, linen, and wool.

About me: My name is Melinda, I'm 23 and love Native American culture, its how I picked up weaving as a child. I suffer from Fribromyalgia and have issues getting certain jobs. My medications are through the roof which is digging a giant hole in my pocket more and more each month since I've been diagnosed. My previous job has recently laid me off so I was able to pick weaving back up on the spare time I had while job hunting. I found a job selling beautiful jewelry by Silpada Designs. I really love that it still leaves me with plenty of free time to do my weaving and spending time with my family. I hope to eventually sell my weavings along with my jewelry so that I wont have to worry about paying $400 a month on my medications, but so far not having any luck.
