Thanks Cheryl for the hang tag idea. Also, did you have a source for a folding rack? I saw a single rack panel display rack at Woodland Marketing that was inexpensive. http //www.woodlandmarketing.com/specs.php?jobnum=Single%20Panel%20Display&title=Panel%20Display%20Systems It looked like I could hang my weav ings from the slots. I thought I could put this in the store that wants to sell my items on consignment. Its part of the Wild Bird Unlimited chain (whose customers obviously have disposable income) and they sell a lot of nature related gifts. They stay open regular hours. I worked on a write up that describes my garden & birdfeeders and how I look out from my studio as I weave and get inspired by the colors of the garden & the birds I see. I think the rack with my items would look nice in there. Woodland also has a slightly more expensive 2 panel unit with shelves that might work too, that I am considering.
Thanks for your comments, Sara. I am still working on quality - but I can tell my technique is definitely improving... and many of my non-weaving friends are already asking if they can buy or commission items, which is encouraging. (And my weaving friends point out the things I can do to improve them :-)
Vennui, that's a good idea. We have a local farmer's market that has a crafts day once a month. And I have a 20" rigid heddle loom with a stand that is easily portable. I am going to see what it involves to get a booth there once I have enough inventory.
