mneligh, I was intrigued by your post and googled Donna, hoping to see some of the work you mentioned - I have no idea what 'wrapping' is in this context, and I'd enjoy seeing examples. All I found was repeated mention of a book (or exhibition catalog) "Fiberworks", apparently from a show at Cleveland Museum of Art in the late 70s that included Donna. Any pointers for finding images?
And update on the warp: I've woven off and finished up the first towel. It's darn cool. Starting on another, and already my ideas for these are starting to stray afield from conventional weave structures. Nice having nearly unlimited 'free' materials to play with, though I do see some problems with the warp (uneven tension as it unwinds, some fraying, etc.)
