About me

 I live in York in the UK (nice, small city with long history and very bendy streets).

Grew up in a tiny town pretty far north in Sweden, though visited family in the UK every year. Now I visit Sweden every year and more. 

Recently retired from a life long career in the care sector. Still do some free lance work. 

Finally having far more time to do things with textiles!!!!

Love travel, but worry about carbon footprint. Don't like lying on a beach. A bookaholic. Tendencies to a bohemian lifestyle and struggle to keep things looking tidy and smart. Mostly failing. Knit a lot of socks in patterns and colours and give them as presents to everybody - well, nearly! do traditional egyptian dance, eg no navel or bare midriff in sight!!
