- About me
I was very fortunate to meet Norman Kennedy as a small child (gasp! over 40 years ago!) I knew then what I wanted to do with myself (thanks Norman!)- I was a local Colonial Williamsburg brat so I got to observe him in action alot. Sharon Alderman has also been a huge influence, mentor, teacher, friend & treasure (thanks Sharon!) Although I never had any formal training & am largely self-taught, I have pursued many wonderful workshops & absorbed information from many talented & very sharing instructors over the years & continue to learn as much as I can at every opportunity. I spin, weave, knit, dye, design & make handwovens & knitwear full time & also write the occasional knitwear pattern, I also teach lots of classes locally & regionally. Some day I will get brave enough to start submitting things to magazines, my knitwear patterns have been doing well on ravelry so maybe that will be in my future, who knows? I love it all...
