The
Delta is a modern parallel counter marche
loom based on the Hollandia (which it replaces) and the very successful
Spring. The Delta is easily recognizable as the head of the Louet line of
floor looms. It is comfortable, robust and technologically advanced, but
above all a weaver's loom. Warp tension can be adjusted by fine increments to
insure the tension is just the way you want it. The floating breast beam
insures tension is returned to exactly the same tension as you had before you
advanced the cloth.
Tie
ups are easy. Every treadle is tied to every harness which means you only
have to depress one treadle at a time. All treadles work the same way across
the full width of the loom because of the parallel system. The Delta's
treadles are hinged from the back allowing for a very light weight treadling
action. Also, all lams are horizontal which makes changing tie-ups quick and
easy. For individual comfort, blocks are available to adjust treadle height.
Harnesses are adjustable to allow
you to create slack in the heddles for easier threading and to tighten them
for weaving
The brake on
the Delta is a friction brake system on the warp beam, which is sturdy and easy
to operate. A convenient advancing system is provided on the cloth beam.
The Delta is made of plantation grown ash and is finished with a double
coat of clear semi-gloss lacquer.

A very nice loom, pretty and quite unique. Purchased used from the mill in Kansas. Called a sinking shed because that is actually what it does. Like a jack loom in reverse. Makes following pattern drafts a bit odd but after learning how to convert, works pretty well.
Textolve heddles and chords make it very quiet, loom is drilled for a second warp beam. Would put a sectional in if I could. Best warped front to back. Back folds up, and breast beam is removable.
Wolf Pup
This is the direct tie-up model. It's great for workshops, easy to warp, and all in all a great loom. I'm selling so I can upgrade to larger loom. Included with the loom is a Harrisville bench, 4 stainless steel reeds 6,8,10,12 dent, raddle, lease sticks, Treadle tracker, LeClerc closed bottom shuttle, threading hook, approx 100 extra flat steel heddles. Cost for all $900. I prefer pick-up in Washington, DC metro area, but may consider local delivery. (I'm in northern VA)

Beautiful Fireside loom in excellent like-new condition. Comes with three reeds and sectional beam. This is one gorgeous piece of furniture. Originally cost over $6,800 when I purchased it new. It hasn't had much use due to my traveling in my job. It has been in protected climate-controllled loft. My house has sold and I must sell; therefore, I reduced the price significantly to $1,900. I also have a Commuter Bench for this loom (original cost $685) which I will let go for $190. This must be picked up before June 1, 2012 at Webster, NY location. Contact Dale at 585-545-4303.

Acquired from an estate sale in pieces. The loom had been shipped from mom's estate in Florida to daughter in San Francisco. Daughter decided not to be a weaver and was moving, so a moving sale price. Brought home in pieces with schematic and a DVD that dad had made when taking the loom aprt to ship. All pieces accounted for except 2 nuts and the end piece for the treadle assembly. Weaves beautifully.
