I am just learning to enter WIFs with a software that I am unused to so bear with me for the file. The repeats for each section are in the article.  I color coded and left blanks to make it easier to see the draft.

I see my first upload was upside down and now this has been fixed.

This coat is one of the projects in my new book on weaving on the Lily Speed-O-Weave loom. I only ever wore it once, as I sold it right off my back the first time I wore it! I take that as being a success LOL!

I need to make myself another one.... :o)

I had so much fun dying this yarn and weaving these scarves! I bought some mill end rayon years ago and go to the ‘mill end’ part and dyed it in red blue and purple. The red turned more pink and I loved the results!

This is run #2 of this series. This time I’m using brighter colors and a little bit of a heavier beat to test the hand in comparison to the first run. Pictures to come!

About 3/4 of the way through the third scarf my loom's electronic interface stopped working:(  Louet has been fabulous about fixing it so quickly and I should have it back Tuesday!

Notes:

I have a ton of natural chenille on cones that I don’t quite know where they came from. I’m usually really good about keeping yarn records or knowing exactly where they come from because I take the label or information about the yarn and tape it on the inside of the cone. The warp for these scarves has no info! Which means that it came from a dyers pack most likely from Webs. Awesome! I don’t know if it’s cotton, rayon, or synthetic! Sooooooo I used other chenille that I’ve used in projects before for the weft! I should be binding them and dying tonight (fingers crossed). I’ll post pictures as soon as I have them!

Notes:

Hand cut lengthwise, two and a half yards long and
over a yard wide of gold 100% silk fabric into approximately 3/4 inch strips, not
being exact on purpose to create more texture as woven. The
long fabric strips wound on the back beam just fine…straightening was fairly
easy as I kept the tension even with firm tugs on the warp while beaming.
I used the same fabric strips for the weft about 5 to 6 ppi .  The warp was very strong; it was fast weaving and tons of fun. Finish by hand washing and drying in the dryer.   Very,
very soft, a nice drape on the fabric and didn’t shrink a lick.
