Painted Rayon Scarves
I had so much fun dying this yarn and weaving these scarves! I bought some mill end rayon years ago and go to the ‘mill end’ part and dyed it in red blue and purple. The red turned more pink and I loved the results!

Beet Juice! Crinkle Cloth Scarf
I dyed the scarf after I wove it. I wanted to see what the EZ Dye would do with a gorgeous color that would normally wash right out, but I washed it in the washing machine after I dyed it.I won't wear it in the sun...The treatment doesn't affect light-fastness, unfortunately.
I pulled a little of the weft out before I hemmed it so you can see the weft color away from the multi-colored warp.
The open sett with the singles gives the crinkle effect.
Harvest Fall Scarf
* Merino* Mohair* Alpaca* Hand Dyed* Hand Woven* Hand spun and plying* 5.75 inches wide * 5 inch fringe on both ends * 67 inches long without the fringe * 77 inches overall length long including fringe (6ft 5in) The weft is 2 ply light fingering weight 100% merino that I hand dyed with an acid dye to be a Black Cherry. It did not come out the dark purple red of Black Cherry but instead came out a lovely Orangey Red that has gone most gloriously with the natural colors of the warp. In fact, when I saw the color that the dye turned out, I specially decided to make and use the yarn for the warp to complement it. The warp is a thick single ply of cream Mohair that I hand spun myself and was later plyed with 1x 2ply light fingering of alpaca mohair blend and a 1x 2 ply light fingering of merino mohair blend yarns. The alpaca used is a red or apricot color and the mohair was a faded red, these colors combined with the white merino gave it various shades of cream, taupe, fawn, and light brown. These colors went just awesome with the bold orange red of the hand dyed merino. This scarf has been sold.

This is a one of a kind (OOAK) art yarn is called Christmas Red. It is a
vibrant, lovely, eye catching RED!! I am very pleased with this color
as it was my first dying like this and normally I do not like red.
However, this red is so pretty I almost didn\'t even list it on line for
sale. I was going to be greedy and keep it for myself. HA! It is a 2 ply bulky chunky art yarn. I hand spun this from white sheep fleece, plyed it and hand dyed it with an acid dye. 3.33 WPI46.17 yards138.5 feet8.75 ozUse
this for your next project of Knitting, Weaving, Crocheting, or give it

It is for sale in my ArtFire shop.
Hand-spun lambswool angora sofa throw and pillow
Pat Partida raised the bunnies, dyed the lambswool fleece with another friend Mary Hals, then spun up about a dozen skeins of lovely lavender heather 2-ply yarn. I think it sat in storage for years until I we found it last month. It was hard to find an accent color that complimented the complex color of the handspun but I finally found 2 tiny skeins of flat, ribbon like HABU silk yarn that was just the right color. The afghan was woven in 3 panels and sewn together. There was enough warp to weave an extra piece that I then made into a pillow. Simple soft structure to allow the hand woven yarn be the center of attention. I have machine washed it once and the angora halo is starting to form; as it develops it will obscure the visual structure but not the fliud hand.
