Painted Rayon Scarves
I had so much fun dying this yarn and weaving these scarves! I bought some mill end rayon years ago and go to the ‘mill end’ part and dyed it in red blue and purple. The red turned more pink and I loved the results!
Chenille Shibori Wide Scarves
I have a ton of natural chenille on cones that I don’t quite know where they came from. I’m usually really good about keeping yarn records or knowing exactly where they come from because I take the label or information about the yarn and tape it on the inside of the cone. The warp for these scarves has no info! Which means that it came from a dyers pack most likely from Webs. Awesome! I don’t know if it’s cotton, rayon, or synthetic! Sooooooo I used other chenille that I’ve used in projects before for the weft! I should be binding them and dying tonight (fingers crossed). I’ll post pictures as soon as I have them!
Bamboo Scarf
I didn't include length because I made two scarfs and a finger towel which was about 196". I was extreamly pleased with this scarf. It turned out soft, silky and delicate. I am now doing one in blue and cream.
Leaf Sequin Rayon Scarf
I'd had the leaf sequins for a long time and was just itching to use them for this pocket weave. I dyed the rayon in fall colors and dug out the sequins. Then the maple leaf sequins (at the bottom of the picture) turned out to be far too big, so I used the generic leaf sequins (above the maple leaf). They worked. But the tip of the leaf can poke through the pocket and will likely get caught on something. Oops. And then the shape of the sequin is lost in the pocket so oval sequins would have worked just fine anyway. Oh well. I'm happy with it. There really is a maple leaf sequin beneath the other two but it got lost during translation.
Glitter Rayon Scarf
This a really fun weave structure. I inserted oval spangle sequins randomly in the pockets, so it's quite glittery, but hard to get the glitz in the picture.
Plaid Scarf/Shawlette
Hand Dyed Rayon and Tencel yarns, mill dyed black Rayon Chenille. Plain weave. I let my daughter go through some recently dyed yarns and she came up with these colors and they wove up wonderfully together.
