This Thought Products Barbara V was built in 1978, and has had, I believe, three previous owners. Miraculously, the operating and assembly instructions are still with her! She operates as countermarche, counterbalance, or tapestry depending on the configuration of shafts, etc., that one chooses -- currently I have her assembled as a countermarche and she weaves beautifully. Yes, the tie-up takes some major fiddling -- wire cables attaching directly to shafts or lams via "pigtail" screws, lots and lots of wire cables. But once she's set up, the weaving proceeds well. She's a big girl -- weighs probably 500 lb and has a *large* footprint. I call her Proud Mary because of the paddlewheel warp beam. I love her.
