This cost me practically nothing to make and hardly any carpentry used. The spindles are double ended knitting needles with a plastic sewing machine bobbin for the drive wheel. This things spins like a dream. After making the pieces and waiting for the glue to set over-night, I put it all together and spun a bunch of cotton the next day.
