8H Point Twill Towels
For the third version of this warp I chose shades of yellow with a red/yellow variegated end every now and then.
Vavstuga Yardage for Origami Shirt
The fabric was woven by me. The shirt was sewn by Nancy Curtiss of Aurora, OH (my weaving partner in crime).
Mobius Scarf
This was done as a mobius strip: I left a lot of unwoven warp (about 18 inches) before starting to weave the scarf. After weaving about 45 inches, I undid the warp from the front beam, carefully added tension without wrapping the scarf around the beam, added a twist to the fabric, then used the un-woven warp from the start of the scarf as the weft for the final inches of the scarf. The instructions I followed are here: https://plus.google.com/photos/103025470....
Point Twill Towels
This was another run of towels to give as gifts. The warp stripe arrangement is different from the previous warp but the draft is the same. This elf had to work overtime to finish these by Christmas.
40/2 Perle Cotton
Percentage: 100
I order this thread from Lunatic Fringe and I can depend on them having it and shipping right away. It's such a crisp, purrrrrrrfect thread and a joy to work with!
Chenille Shibori Wide Scarves
I have a ton of natural chenille on cones that I don’t quite know where they came from. I’m usually really good about keeping yarn records or knowing exactly where they come from because I take the label or information about the yarn and tape it on the inside of the cone. The warp for these scarves has no info! Which means that it came from a dyers pack most likely from Webs. Awesome! I don’t know if it’s cotton, rayon, or synthetic! Sooooooo I used other chenille that I’ve used in projects before for the weft! I should be binding them and dying tonight (fingers crossed). I’ll post pictures as soon as I have them!
