BGH's Trellis, Turned
This overshot pattern was "turned" from a 4 shaft draft to make it into a one-shuttle weave on 6 shafts. Note that there is no treadling option for plain weave or "tabby". Ground warps alternate on shafts 5-6, with pattern warps appearing on shafts 1-4.
This warp was threaded in 20/2 cotton for the ground, 10/2 for the pattern, and was woven on a Structo 240 loom, much in the same spirit as Bertha Grey Hayes originally wove her design samples for her subscribers. A contemporary twist is using a dark ground, and a light color for the pattern.
Note that every other thread in the warp is a thin 20/2 (the dark color) and the light represents the pattern (10/2). When woven, the design should be squared (making round circles, not ovals) as shown on the illustration. My software cannot render thick and thin threads.
