This design is by KimMarie Bunke, as published in "The Best of Weavers, Twill thrills" Her design had five hearts across. With the yarn I was using, I adjusted the design to only one heart wide.
Nice. I have just made a shawl with three hearts :-) Didn't get around to posting it yet.
Very nice! What kind of yarn did you use? Did you have problems with long floats with this draft?
Ellen, Thanks for the comment. Can't wait to see your project.
Dave, I wondered about the long floats before I started. They posed no problems when weaving, but if there are problems with wearing, only time will tell. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Yikes!! I entered the yarn info, but it isn't showing up?!?!
The warp is silk, The weft is homespun merino (70%) and seacel (30%)
I think I saw the original scarf handing in a weaving shop years ago. It's a spectacular pattern, isn't it?
Overshot is so fascinating, because the designer of the pattern gets a single shaft to do so much design work. IMHO, you get a lot of bang for your buck!
