Notes:

Tapestry diary for the new year began today, January 1, 2011.  This year I will use a separate warp on a frame loom for each month, rather than having one long, continuous weaving as in the past two years.  This year I also hope to explore aspects of tapestry that I previously have not used much or at all.  I decided to begin with variations of soumak for January, using Kathe Todd-Hooker's two books, Line in Tapestry and Tapestry101 as guides.  Each day of the month will include something different and each day will end with a contrasting color to mark it.

I love this.

...and our guild has a new tapestry weaver, so I would like to direct him toward following your project posts. Happy New Year! May your year (and tapestry) be richly colored, textured, and full of adventure and exciting surprises!

Tapestry Diary

Tommye,

I like the idea of a monthly diary this year.  I think it will be helpful for it to be portable.  I am sure you missed your daily fix when you were out and about teaching or learning last year.  Now you can keep up wherever you are.  Good luck.

Are we due for an update?   A Q1 report so to speak?  I would love to see how it's going this year.
