I'm approaching the end of this small tapestry. Yesterday, as I wove, I decided to add contrails to the sky since I'd seen some while walking a few days earlier.
What a lovely piece, Tommye !
It's cut off now and I'll post finished photo sometime soon.
It's amazing how you're able to acheive such depth. I love the shading on the clouds.
I've looked at clouds quite a lot and taken many photos. I'm going to think more about contrails in future tapestries, also.
Very NICE! I can recall seeing photos of landscapes that look like this in W. N.Carolina or Scotland.
I live in the north Georgia mountains and was born in Asheville, NC. I've seen these hills and skies all my life. My heritage is Scots-Irish, as well, so maybe some of the Scottish landscape is in my DNA and comes out in these small landscapes!
Ok, you've made it official... tapestry is now on my "to-learn" list!
Is always inspiring. Your work is beautiful. I'm just now starting to learn to weave tapestry on my Glimakra Regina. I hope someday I'll be half as good as you. Michele
I like how you just thought you would throw in some contrails.
The scene looks very alive.
Have a good day!
I appreciate your taking a look at my work and sending a comment along.
