The samples are from my Taquete' class I am currently taking with Lillian Whipple right here on Weavolution! I am thoroughly enjoying myself, doing a number of firsts. This is my first time weaving with sewing thread as warp, this is the first time I've designed my own designs in Taquete', the first time I used a profile draft to make a drawdown by hand on graph paper (something I never got around to doing), and only my second time weaving someting in Taquete'. I've had several AHA! moments. The best part is that I still have 2 more classes to go! I am very happy with the class and especially with Lillian. She is a wonderful teacher.
I am currently working on color blending in Taquete' and treadle pick-up. More to follow..........................!
I've added my gingerbread man cookie panels. It's missing the final panel of the "whole" cookie. My warp frayed beyond repair, I was at the very end of the warp with my warp bar touching the heddles. I plan to weave another one in the near future.
Just stopped by to comment and thank you for sharing this. It looks like you are having fun!
Yes, I am having fun! It's almost like magic.
I'm so impressed! Very cute and good examples of the technique. Thanks for posting them.
