Another playful scarf woven in a saori way… ruffled by pulling pairs of perle cotton in the warp.

I wound a 7 yard warp of leftover bits of wool, handspun, novelty yarns and 2 sets of 4 perle cotton in the center separated by 4 worsted wool. I used lots of my old, old, very old handspun yarn in blues, wine colors and green and added bits of unspun mohair.

I love playing around and discovering a variety of interesting weave structures that I create using my 8 shaft Mighty Wolf as a 4 shaft directly tied up loom. By dropping the treadles on either side of the center 4 treadles, my feet can easily feel where I want to be and I can dance across the treadles!

I have more warp left for a second long narrow scarf. My biggest decision - should I ruffle this one too?

What a fun scarf!

Great colors and mix of textures. My vote would be to ruffle the next scarf, too. It makes it look very chic and fun.
