I wanted to try double weave pick-up and I also needed a new guest hand towel. So, what better design to use for double-weave pick-up than my own hand! I traced it on graph paper and after some initial confusion the technique finally made sense. What a clever idea. Who ever thought of this first belongs in the Weaving Hall of Fame. When I finished I felt the towel needed a little embellishment so I used orange pearl cotton to embroider a wedding ring on the front. After machine washing and drying I was pleasantly surprised to see all-over tracking on the brown background of the front. It adds some unexpected texture to the towel. We've all had our share of bad weaving surprises so this helped make up for some previous disasters.
Great and funny idea !
Very nice! Love it!

Too cute! Congratulations on figuring out the technique. It is one I intend to try soon.

Really great job Sherrie!
Hi Leslie,
Thanks for the compliment! Every time I see your name I picture the beautiful patterns you've created with your awesome loom. I hope our paths cross this year so I can see what you're working on these days.
