Inspired by one of Laverne's bands posted a while back, I decided to see if I could draft my own version. This one is WAYYYYY easier to treadle than my previous "mudcloth," and I am enjoying weaving while traveling very much. (I don't think this one will take me as long to finish, either!)
Very cool!!
Hi, Inky, I love your new pattern. I agree, LaVernie's work is truly inspirational. I love my Inklette, I warped it o Tuesday with a 3/4" wide band to make a collar for one of Fog's tiny little friends, a daschund named Pickles. I will post photos when finished. What will you use this beautiful band for? I want to make a shoulder strap for my Jane loom- the leather handle is good, but to carry it longer distances a shoulder strap would be better.
PS YOUR weaving is inspirational, too!
Oh wow! I am just trying an overshot on my inkle loom, but I'm sort of instant gratification when it come to inkles, since the tapestry is like a 6 month endeavor so I mainly like to do the plain weave. :) I love the way this pattern is turning out! This is the kind of pick up with the "basketweave" threading right? NEAT.
Thanks for passing by and commenting on my project!
Pretty!
My mom had me try a pick-up pattern on her inkle loom when we went camping this summer - I really enjoyed it. Will you be posting the draft for this? It is beautiful!
