I found myself in desperate need of a backstrap to finish some unfinished projects -- and these yarns were at the top of the box, so they got chosen!
The wide band in the main photo is made up of four bands joined at their selvedges: two wide bands in the centre, and two narrower ones at the outside edges. I love the way the warp-faced stripe patterns look so very different when they've been joined side-to-side like this! What started in the individual bands as simple, symmetrical stripes has taken on a more complex appearance, with sophisticated proportions. (It could have been planned, but it wasn't!)
Still left to do: sew casings at each end of the wide band, then thread a woven "cord" through each casing.
