Den 26 juli, under kulturveckan i Viker vad det vadmalsstampning i
Skrekarhyttan.

En grupp väverskor från Dalarna och deltagarna i en
vävkurs i Hjulsjö kom för att prova på stampning.

De flesta
vävarna var korta testvävar i olika kvaliteter och tekniker, som i några
fall kanske leder till längre vävar nästa år.

Tidvis arbetade alla tre stockparen samtidigt.

I don't understand the language of your text, but thank you for posting this interesting set of photos showing woolen cloth being fulled using traditional methods(?) I hope I've got that right!

You right, we were 20 weavers working in the fulling mill all day and have about 50 visitors.

The language is swedish and the fulling mill is situated in Skrekarhyttan Nora Sweden

1-the three stamp pairs operating simultaneously 

2- fabric a week before stamping               

3-The fabric is streatched after stamping

Notes: On 26 July, during the cultural week in Viker what the homespun pitching in Skrekarhyttan. A group of weavers from Dalarna and participants in a vävkurs in Hjulsjö came to try pitching. most weavers were short test fabrics in different qualities and techniques, which in some cases may lead to longer weaves next year. At times it worked all three stock pairs simultaneously. Here koommer some pictures taken during the day

some corrections

pic 2: the fabric is folded before stamping

"Pitching" should be "stamping" (or "fulled in a hammer mill", if you wish)

It may (or not...) be ok to toot my own horn here - at bergdalspinnhus.com there are two articles on vadmal stamping: the vadmal adventure and on vadmal in English (there's also one in Swedish only)

I love the picture of the fulling machine. It's wonderfully low tech. I would like to see video of the machine in operation.Thank you for sharing.

Unfortunately we did not have a video camera for the weekend of fulling at the mill in Norway that Kerstin has on her website - just the stills.  :)
