May 13 - finally finished and in use
May 7 - the jacket is finally off the loomskin and I am darning in ends before fulling
25 April - I'm halfway down the body of the jacket. Once I get to the hem, there will only be the sleeves left to weave.
14 February - I'm nearly finished weaving phase two, the shoulder section. (phase one was the yoke, phases three and four will be the two sleeves, five will be the main part of the body)
5 February 2011 - After an enforced pause because of breaking my wrist I have begun work on this project again. The first step was to figure out how to solve the tension problem. I used strips of anti-slip mat held down with cardboard and pins.
1 December - finally finished the warping (more details on my blog). It took a lot longer than I thought it would. But now I can start weaving.
26 November 2010 - I've finally begun to apply the warp of the jacket. After all this planning it feels good to be handling the yarns at last!
Sounds like a very interesting project. I'm definitely going to follow your blog. Good luck!
I'm hooked! love the colours. Very curious to see how it comes along.
WOW! I am not sure I could even hold a conversation with you. This is sooooooo complicated. I can't wait to see the end result. I tip my hat to you. You must be some tailor!
