Tell us everything!!

Rhuth,

Gorgeous double weave!  Please tell us where you took this class and who your instructor is.  Also I notice beige threads that seem to be tied around the beater.  Are those there to help you count the threads for pickup? I assume this is pickup and not loom controlled.  Beautiful pattern and colors.  Also please tell ushow you will use this band.

Welcome to Weavolution!!  XO Gail & Fog

WOW

Totally impressive and inspiring!!!! I have PC Stitch program. Now I'm inspired to create  and weave designs more often. What I'd really like is to be able to store the patterns like they do with the technique they use in Laos!

Tell me if I'm correct?

This is double weave set up to do a tube with blue on the bottom layer and white for the top layer.  Then using a pick up stick, you pick up all the blue threads needed for the design (this fuses both layers). Looks like the selveges on both the top and bottom layer is white for a few warps so that the blue doesn't show on the edge of the white layer and is done in plain weave to fuse both layers there. Is this correct?  The idea of using yarn on the beater to count the threads in the "grid" is brilliant.
