I loved this project. I dip dyed the merino from light to dark teal, spun it in graduations, and plied it together keeping the colour changes gradual.

It really took on a whole new dimension when woven - from light to dark then light again.

Oh so lovely.  Thanks for posting this, it's just a delight to see what a beautiful job you did.  All that dyeing, spinning and weaving.  Who gets to wear this beautiful shawl?  I hope you do.

Soothing Waters Shawl

I actually made this for myself - but then chose to give it to a special girlfriend for her 40th birthday. I haven't made a new one for myself yet...and every now and then I have a small wish that I was wearing it myself. And then I get a message from my friend every now and then who tells me how much she loves it....and I know it went to the right person.
