Hiding the stripes in warp float/pick ups!

Finally I have figured out how to hide the stripes!
Now I can choose when I want stripes or not. I do double weave for a solid background, and this for either a striped background or 'pebbles'! This technique is not to be confused with pebble weave though...two different animals.
Laverne calls these "Warp floats galore". As you can see they are done on a backstrap loom. This is the first one.
Just in time for July 4th! Small, but mighty!

I have been working hard at trying different warp face structures.  Though I have done alot of different warp float projects...this now gives me the freedom of not having stripes in the background.  Now that I have this under my belt, along with double wv and dbl wft dbl wv...I can do solid background (dbl wv), striped background and spotted background (warp floats/pick ups.  I have moved from the Gilmore Wave to the backstrap so that I can move into wider pieces.  Lots of learning curve going on!  Please see my blog if you would like to know more.
