Sample done for next piece which will be 40" wide by 28" tall. This is an 8 shaft honeycomb draft, first time for me. Might go back to my regular 4 for larger piece.
The color and movement and texture are wonderful, congrats! Can't wait to see the next one!
This is beautiful. I love the harmonious colors and I see inspiration from Hokusai's Wave. I'm confused though as It looks more like tapestry than 8 shaft honeycomb.
Now I see the honeycomb.! What a fascinating and creative use of this weave structure!!!
Honeycomb makes wavy lines and you put those lines to good use. I like the diagonal progression of cells that you get with 8 shafts. It indicates movement.
Honeycomb as tapestry, quite intriguing. And it looks like you added beads for watery-sparkle. Wow.
