The sunlight on the loom is just superb and really highlights the point threading. The warp and weft is handspun merino (that wonderful merino top colorway called Snapdragon which I plied with opalescent lurex) and Zephyr Ladyslipper. This scarf is already better than the sock waffles. I hadn't intended to do more waffles, but it really is so gratifying that I'll likely do 2 or even 3 more. It's a great use for handspun and the little bit of glitz from the lurex is just enough sparkle.
The finished scarf is nice and squishy, too.
Absolutely beautiful.
Wow, that type of weave must really take strict attention to detail. Nice!
I love the squishyness of waffle weave, plus it traps the air making it very warm for its light weight. The pastel colors are beautiful. You certainly can be proud of this piece!
