The final two fabrics for eleven Teddy bears will come from this warp. Both yarns were dyed by me. The wool with the slubs is brown and I'm using it as my warp. The angora/wool blend weft was dyed pink, and the fabric will be for a bear for our newest granddaughter. I am sewing the bears and they will be in the Demon Seamstress group. I have one completed so far. Jenny Bellairs from Charlevoix the Beautiful
The pink fabric shown above is finished, along with Teddy bear paws for 3 bears. One fabric is left to weave, and I think I am going to hate it, because my warp threads started to break. Hopefully the repairs will hold till I finish!

I finished the first fabric on this warp, and after wet finishing it, I'm not happy with it at all, except for the weaving design. I used a dyed warp that started breaking threads after I finished the first fabric. After wet finishing that fabric, it feels awful. For something woven with a mix of wool and angora (for the weft), it isn't soft at all. When I dyed the angora, it must have damaged the fiber. I think I will be back to winding a new warp, and using the angora in it's natural state. Fortunately, Christmas isn't too soon, so I still have time. I only need enough for two more Teddy bears.
really cute. What lucky children to receive these as gifts.
I love your pictures. I kept looking for a "like" button. :) Amazing work, Jenny! And it looks like you really had fun doing it.
Love all your pics of teddies enjoying a nice cuppa!
Thanks for posting.

How wonderful! I think I will see if my mom would be interested in sewing up some teddies if I made some fabric- there are several babies coming soon to my extended family!
