Here is a closeup of the second twined bag. The basic weave is twine
around two warps. The middle detail is two rows of three strand twine
around warp pairs. The last row is twined around single warp to make a
tighter weaving for the bottom of the bag. The bag is twined around cardboard frame and goes around both sides.
The warp will be knotted at the bottom to close the bottom of the bag.
Next I have to make a strap for it.

Here is the bag on the cardboard frame for working.
Very nice !, Franco. Here I put a picture about twining. ( on s, on z, over and under 2 warps, And with a design. In my picassa album. there are other two pictures. Have a nice day. Graciela

I like this twined bag particularly. I've started loom weaving--sold a table runner recently--and I started a twined bag with an oval base for a guild demo last year-need to finish that. The base was like wrestling an octopus until it was about an inch wide... I'll post it whenever I finish it. My next project, though, is learning to spin with a spindle. I'm going to start with cotton, since it's my favorite fiber, though I've heard it's hard..why start with something easy, right??
LBKeeling,
I learned how to spin using angora rabbit wool.
I didn't know it was supposed to be a difficult fibber to work with.
But it sure helps my confidence level even though I'm not a master spinner.
I'm glad you liked the little bag. I've to make more of them. They are fun project to take on the commute to work.
Have a good day!
