Notes: 

The yarns are from Vavstuga. The combination of cottolin and cotton boucle makes a very comfortable fabric. The buttons are made of polymer clay and the trim is kumihimo. The vest fits me perfectly because I worked with Daryl Lancaster to modify a vest pattern to get it to fit just right!

make the buttons that you used on both the vests? very nice

Buttons

Yes, I did make the buttons, out of polymer clay. I like ones on the blue vest because I was able to create a border to mimic the kumihimo trim. My non-weaving friends cannot understand how I got everything to match so well! The buttons on the other vest are a diamond shape to mimic the shape in the cloth. They are a bit fragile because I cut them rather thin, so I may need to create backup buttons at some point.
