This is another project from the book The magic of Double Weave, M.v.d.Hooght
Having all those colours intertwine was sheer pleasure all the way. I used two panels for a cushion in my cream coloured sofa, that needed some colour, and two will be used as wall hangings. I am currently making kumihimo braids to hang them with.
Ellen, you have been a busy little bee! Each of the projects in the bunch posted today are wonderful. Your designs are elegant and timeless, the yarns are lovely and the skill you demonstrate is exceptional.
Thanks for posting all of your recent projects. They are inspirational!
Bonnie.
Thanks! Well, it is exactly reactions like yours that prompt me to persevere, even though I find the add-a-project feature here very slow and tedious :-) So thank you again!
Ellen you've done it again. Gorgeous!
Hi Marie! Nice to be in touch again. Thank you very much :-)
I too am admiring the quality of your weaving and design!
Thanks for posting these pics.
Beth
What a treat, seeing all the things you've been doing! Bonnie found the right word: inspirational!
I'm very happy that you're persevering in uploading these wonderful things for us to see. It's almost like a visit to your workroom!

This is an eye-grabber for sure! It looks like you might have used Lunatic Fringe spectrum yarns? If not, what did you use? And did the pattern call for the chenille, or was that your own twist to make the pillows softer? This looks so fun to weave!
You guessed it all Sally :-) Yes it is the Lunatic Fringe color wheel, and yes the draft called for chenille, and I had to get all of it sent from the USA, which cost a fortune, but it was all worth it, as - yes again - it was such a pleasure to weave :-)
And a thank you to you and a couple of other good old Weavo-friends to prompt me into doing it :-)
Thanks for the kind words!
Wow! I MUST get an 8-shaft loom! *Patience, patience....* This is just stunning. This website really inspires me to challenge myself and tackle projects that might be otherwise intimidating.
I hope you will! And after a little more practise this will not be all that intimidating :-)
