Are both the warp and weft grey, but slightly different in colour? (It's difficult to tell on screen)

This is a six thread Bronson lace. The warp is a pale lavander which shows better on the other side, but I can't get photos of that yet.

Thanks to this dare I finally got this scarf off the loom! Now I can use some beautiful wool I bought about 2 months ago.
I learned that this particular bamboo yarn needs to be used with a "toothier" warp. The weft migrated, leaving an eighth inch gap across the scarf where I put a stick to cover the tie-on knots. This is such a beautiful, soft yarn that I will try it with a different warp. Hopefully that will also make it easier to keep a consistant ppi.
