Loom
Loom Used:
Tools of the Trade
Number of Shafts:
8
Number of Treadles:
10
Notes:

I wound two separate warps, the ground warp was the 10/2 cotton in three shades of gray and the supplemental warp was various novelty yarns in turquoise, white and gray.  The loom was warped f2b with the cotton and then I added the supplemental warp randomly and threaded it on shafts 5 & 6.  The ground warp was threaded on shafts 1-4.

I have completed 3 shawls using this method.  The draft is a turned Monk's belt for the treadling.  It was fun and I love the results.

This is a teaser pic, we want to see more.  Can we please see the back and the ends?  Did you separate the ground warp and the supplemental or did you wind them together?

You know I am new to all of

You know I am new to all of this.  So where did the blue come in?  I see all those greys and no blue.  Is that what you mean by "supplemental"?  Just beautiful!  And those selveges are to die for.

That's beautiful

What a beautiful shawl, anyone would be blessed to wear it and show it off.  Love, love, love how you accented the ribbon yarn.
