The weft-faced tote was designed after making the inkle strap. A narrow strip of blue and bright green at the top and bottom of bag were crocheted across the warp threads. I designed the pattern on the loom, doing a mirror image of the first half, using a strip of paper with design notes and actual "length on loom" to guide my "beating" (ppi) on the second half.
Very nice, Chris. It looks good and sturdy and I love that it has a zip.
looks like it will wear well - is the lining pieced or a printed solid?

Great looking bag and nicely finished.
Love the bag!
Hi Chris! I see you're continuing to challenge yourself! I love the colors and the way you put this together - it's beautiful and inspiring!

Nicely done!
Pretty. I would use this all the time!
I enjoy the way you designed the fabric after the inkle strip. The whole thing including the lining form a very satisfying unity. Nice job.
The lining is a batik printed cotton. When I told my daughter it was done, she wanted me to save it till Christmas. Now, my granddaughter wants me to put a zipper on her bag, too.
Love the colors, love the style...keep on keeping on!
I'm intrugued.
How did you do this as one piece on an RH loom? When I first saw it, I just imagined that you had woven seperate bands and then sewn them together.
If you look at my pictures, I hope you can see the piece of cloth off the RH before sewing. I used carpet warp at 4 epi so the weft completely covers it.
