I have been practicing cross knit looping lately as a decorative
edging and this week tried it as a joining stitch as I had seen that
Vietnamese weavers weave large panels on their backstrap looms and use
this stitch to join the pieces to make long skirts and blankets.
I cut a table runner I had made into two pieces and joined the two
pieces side by the side using this stitch and then found I had something
wide enough to accommodate my large shuttles and medium size beaters.
So a new tool bag was born.
A close up of the stitch which I think matches the “comb” design that I had woven into the piece very nicely.

More about this on my blog.
There is also a tutorial for the cross knit looping technique which you
will find by hitting the TUTORIALS tab at the top of the blog page.
Wow! That is impressive. Beautiful work.
Nice!
I'm really enjoying the bag I bought from you at Convergence, by the way... it's perfect to hold about a dozen small bobbins when I'm traveling with a small tapestry loom!
I absolutely love your work, you inspire me so much, definitely a weaving hero! I'd love to buy a bag or something from you, do you have an online shop or take requests? It would be a great Christmas present to myself lol.
