This project is a variant of the "Fire and Brimstone" cocoon jacket pattern from the Flavian Geis article in Weaver's 32. I hand-dyed 20 skeins of yarn in colors fading from red to golden yellow, and warped up in stripes of color about 1/2" wide - the colors are so close you can't see the transitions!
Then I wove it using Flavian's draft, but changing colors in the weft as I went, from red to yellow and back again.
Tien, this is a test; since I need to look at a project to add you to a favorites list, and that's also wbere the comment field is, am I commenting here on the fire shawl, or directly to you?
Love these beginnings, what splendid project this is!
best,
Ruth
Tien, that looks beautiful. I like the variations in color, all 20 of them!
Gorgeous! Somehow I knew that was yours :)
