My dear friend Lucy, recently had a successful liver transplant. I wanted to give her a gift in her favorite color, that was symbolic of the phenomenal connection that now exists between her and the person who gave her the gift of life, at the expense of their own.
The pattern "Trellis" by Bertha Hayes, when looked at closely, as an L shape in it -- that is mirror imaged . I couldn't have designed something more perfect, myself. I have the warp measured, and am ready to beam on and thread tomorrow.
