This is a little older piece.
A merchant (Herveus I think) had been given a reflective tape/thread by a manufacturer to see what people could do with it. It was a vinyl ribbon with glass crystals of some sort embedded in it. It looks grey under normal light, but shines much brighter under direct light.
I'm afraid I've forgotten what I used as the base fibre, but its probably mercerized cotton. Its a simple threaded in diamond with the reflective tape laid on top as a brocade.
That's really nice. Great idea.
Truly stunning and what a great idea. Reflective tape can be so helpful even in everyday items. And that was spoken by a person who is legally blind, guess you see why I like it so much : )
Claudia
I really like that. I use a wheelchair and occasionally travel along the road after dark, I want a reflective strip on the back of my chair. There is no way a wheelchair is going to look period, but I like the idea of trim that suits my personna. I'll have to look for some of that tape.
