Join in HalloWeave!

September 21, 2011 (All day)

Prizes and fun are available to those who join HalloWeave. To join HalloWeave you simply join one of the eight HalloWeave Groups or create your own. The newest one is Sprang-er’s Web for exploring sprang. At the Demon Seamstress of Fleet Street they are cutting handwoven fabric, at the Witch’s Brew they are finally using that handspun yarn. At the Spook of the Loom some people are unearthing long neglected looms and at Las Catrinas they are just weaving shawls. The Double Dares are working with double weave and at Revenge of the Shrunken Heads they are shrinking things other than heads and the Stripemanics of Transylvania are composing stripes for their warps.

The real purpose of HalloWeave is to make yourself a better weaver or fiber artist. But we thought we could encourage you with some prizes. We have a growing list of prizes generously donated by our advertisers. Please remember to thank our advertisers by clicking on their ads and shopping with them.

Most of these prizes will be awarded at random to those who join the HalloWeave groups or teams. All you have to do to be eligible is join a team and post your dare; your leader will then throw your name into the hat. We will pull names from the hat during our Webex events on 3 October and the group Webex weekly meetings.

For the 1 November event some prizes will be award by your votes. Once HalloWeave officially starts on 3 October you will be able to post pictures of your project and have it designated as a HalloWeave project. Once the pictures are posted you can vote on the HalloWeave projects by clicking the Favorite button until midnight 31 October—the witching hour. We will then tally these votes and the ones with the most votes will get the prizes.

Join HalloWeave to learn, enjoy and win prizes.
