Hello Weavolution!
As you know Oliver and I live in England, which is known for it's foggy, rainy weather. Fortunately, I for one love to enjoy a nice cup of tea in my studio on a foggy rainy day. There is just something special about weaving delightful cloth when the weather outside is less than enticing! The days are growing shorter, which makes fall and winter the perfect time to make the best use of your studio!
Weavolution is here as a resource for your studio. We share projects, and drafts with out fellow weavers to help inspire new art. Weavolution also strives to offer a broad range of classes that are taken in your own studio! Oliver and I have been busy scheduling 11 new classes for the Winter months. The classes that are currently on the schedule are taught by Daryl Lancaster and Alice Schlein. As we confirm class times from the remaining Weavolution Faculty we will continue to schedule classes. The class schedule currently includes topics ranging from inkle weaving, to network drafting and weaving and cutting cloth for garments! So if you love to learn new weaving skills, but don't like the inpredictability of winter weather, sign up for a home studio class today! As an added bonus, we want you to know that our part of the classes fees are completely reinvested in Weavolution and directly fund improvements for the community.
Keep on Weaving,
Erica
